Travel Rishikesh like Never Before

Rishikesh is the better known as Yog Nagri. The Holy city is situated at the banks of river Ganga and is world famous for Temples and Yoga teachings. But Rishikesh also offers Adventure Punches to some Adrenaline Junkies and is an ideal Weekend Getaway Place.

All you need is to plan a trip of 2 Nights and 3 Days with your besties or your siblings or your office mates. The first thing matters a lot for Rishikesh is your timings of arrival in the city.

So here are the steps or things to do, you can do for 3 days like a Budget Traveler or You can call it a Backpack Trip to Rishikesh.

DAY 1 : Rishikesh

White Water Rafting and Jungle Camping.

Try to reach Rishikesh before dark. And grab a 1 Night 2 Day package of Rafting and Camping which includes your Meals, Bonfire and your Adventure.( You can plan your Weekend trip to Rishikesh in advance). The White water Rafting of Rishikesh is one of the most popular spot for Rafting and Kayaking enthusisaits across the World. FYI- Rishikesh city also hosts International Ganga Kayak Festiva Annually. Make sure to do a rafting session from Shivpuri to Rishikesh (approx.- 2.5- 3 hrs session) and Jungle camping in Rishikesh is also a good experience for anyone.

Body surfing in Ganga is a must try and Cliff jump is also there to boost up your adrenaline. Go Go Go Jump.

Note- Do not consume liquor before your Rafting session (Yeah some folks do that too), Your package provider will charge you extra for dropping you back to the camps.

DAY 2 : Rishikesh

Hire a Two wheeler :

After finishing up your rafting and camping package, the first thing to do is to hire a two wheeler to take a memorable experience and to save your time.After that check in to a decent hotel and left your luggage in the room.

Trek to Neer Garh Waterfall :

Take ride to the point from where you can start your trek. The Timing for the total trek is around 4 hrs.

Cafes in rishikesh and Beatles Ashram :

Take your Two wheeler and head back to Laxman Jhula. You can visit many of the Cafes in Rishikesh for snacks and drinks and after that can visit to Beatles Ashram.

Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan or Triveni Ghat :

After all the trekking and eatings, its time for some peace in evening for after Visiting Beatles Ashram, Visit Parmarth Niketan that is nearby to Beatles Ashram and Witness Ganga Aarti.

Body Massage at Parmarth Niketan Ashram :

You can also try Body massage and Steam Bath at Parmarth Niketan premises, negotiate a little bit for the prices. Later in Night try some south Indian food at Chotiwala restaurant.

DAY 3 : Rishikesh

Vashishtha Cave Temple

Now it feels like home as its day 3 at Rishikesh and you are almost familiar with roads and few local spots and the travelling goes on so explore today the Holy Cave of Vashishtha, which is approx 25 kms from Rishikesh and a little ahead from Shivpuri. Visit and try to meditate for some time in the holy cave.

Trek to Patna Top Waterfall

Patna top is a small beautiful trek (direction tip- ask Garud Chatti at Neel kanth road).

An Evening walk from Laxman Jhula to Ram Jhula

Later in evening talk a walk from Laxman Jhula to Ram Jhula from the back road. Visit local shops, try street foods. Apart from these activities you can also try Bungee Jumping, Flying Fox and Giant Swing.
